General information and usability
Updates that improve the overall functionality and usability of the software.
Templates combined: The order control centre and delivery order templates have been combined into the delivery order template *
This feature is included in the basic modules of PROLAG WMS.
Benefits
The functions of the order control centre template have been transferred to the delivery order template. The order control centre template has been removed. Search queries that previously led to the order control centre template will now lead to the delivery order template. This change will not affect existing processes or usage. All functionalities have been transferred to the delivery order template and can be executed from there in the future.
Description
The reason for this change is a technical dependency of the order control centre template on the delivery order template. By resolving this dependency, all functions of the two templates could be integrated into a single template for the first time, which improves userfriendliness and clarity when releasing and checking delivery orders. All actions, filters, sortings, customized templates, format rules, etc., have been moved to the delivery order template. This has the advantage that delivery orders can now be processed and booked within a single template. In addition, the template can be easily edited or customized directly using the display configurator. As part of this process, the template was also moderately revised so that the delivery items for the delivery orders are displayed in both the table view and the detail view and can also be edited directly in the detail view.Libraries updated
Benefits
Updating the integrated libraries fixed several errors, introduced improvements and addressed security vulnerabilities.
Description
All external libraries have been updated to the latest version. PROLAG World now uses Java version 25.
Colour adjustments
Benefits
The readability of the format rules is improved when the dark colour scheme is used in the PROLAG World interface.
Description
Several colours have been adjusted to improve overall appearance. In addition to a slight change in the shade of gray used in the menu, the colours for the format rules have been adapted to match the PROLAG World color scheme.
Shortcuts (key combinations)
Benefits
Users can now access the most important basic functions in standard templates
using keyboard shortcuts, allowing them to work faster and largely without using a mouse.
Description
Standard shortcuts have been implemented for key actions such as edit, new, copy, save, delete, discard, change view, multiple selection, refresh and help.
| Edit | Alt + E |
| New | Alt + N |
| Copy | Alt + C |
| Save | Alt + S |
| Delete | Alt + D |
| Discard | Alt + Q |
| Switch between single view and table view | Alt + V |
| Multiselect | Alt + M |
| Update | Alt + R |
| Help | F1 |
| Main Menu Search | F7 |
Logging of template actions in change protocol
Benefits
Changes resulting from template actions are easier to track.
Description
Template actions are logged when performed.
Example
An order is released manually. An entry is created in the change protocol including, among other things, the edited delivery order, the action and the user.
Calculation functions in table view *
This feature is included in the basic modules of PROLAG WMS.
Benefits
In the table view, information for all data records can be viewed directly.
Description
Users can flexibly configure a calculation function within the table view for any column that displays a number or a truth value, to be shown in the footer of the relevant template. If the column displays data that includes units of quantity, a unit that matches the column's base unit of quantity is selected for display.IT security
Upgrades that enhance system security.
Proxy support for outbound HTTP(S)calls
Benefits
Enables the use of a proxy server to protect the network, for example, by filtering unwanted content, anonymizing requests and monitoring data traffic.
Description
A proxy server can be configured to intercept all HTTP(S) calls sent from PROLAG World and forward them to their actual destination address. The proxy can also block or filter these connections as needed. Additionally, exceptions can be defined that should be reached directly (internal hosts for instance).
Production
Software upgrades used in PROLAG Production.
Underdelivery and overdelivery offinished part purchase order items
Benefits
More flexible use of production capacity.
Description
Under the current process, the quantity of finished parts delivered from production to goods receipt (finished part purchase order items) must match the quantity of raw materials consumed for the relevant finished part. Using the new underdelivery and overdelivery at the I-point allowed option in the production configuration template, it is now possible to allow for discrepancies between the production quantity and the delivered quantity. For production processes where tolerance quantities in raw materials are common during production, this means that the final weighing and determination of quantities can be performed at goods receipt.
Automated storage
Software upgrades used in PROLAG Automation for automated storage.
Transport of load units
Benefits
Manual transports in automated storage areas that cannot be executed are now blocked in advance with a clear and meaningful error message, reducing the risk of accidentally relocating reserved stock.
Description
The transport load units function has been completely redesigned as regards determining which transports can be executed and providing more informative error messages.
Interfaces
Software optimizations for interfaces to other systems.
QA release with serial number
Benefits
A specific serial number can be retrieved from QA via the host system.
Description
The QA release record type has been expanded to allow specific serial numbers to be entered. This means it is now possible to remove a subset of the goods from QA using the interface. Previously, it was only possible to do so if all of the goods had been released.
Example
At goods receipt, 5 pieces of an article for which serial numbers are mandatory are entered in the system on a pallet. They are put into storage with a QA lock. The QA check is performed outside of PROLAG in a third-party system. In this third-party system, each individual piece (meaning each serial number) is checked separately. The result of each individual check is then reported to PROLAG using the record type QA release.
Warehouse organisation
Upgrades and improvements to warehouse movements and inventory management.
New features in the stock level information template *
This function is included in the standard modules of PROLAG WMS.
It is now possible to select additional attributes for grouping. You can also search for stock across multiple storage groups simultaneously
Success message with storage location (Direct relocation) *
This function is included in the standard modules of PROLAG WMS.
Benefits
Each time a direct relocation is completed successfully, the new storage location is now displayed in the success message. This allows users to verify that the load unit has been booked to the desired storage location.
Example
Sometimes barcodes are positioned very close to one other, which may lead to the wrong barcode being scanned. To help the user detect such potential errors, the direct relocation process now shows the storage location to which the stock was successfully booked. This reduces the risk of placing a load unit in the wrong storage location.
Overrule location suggestion *
This function is included in the standard modules of PROLAG WMS.
Benefits
If the user qualification "allow alternative location for putaway and relocation location suggestions in PROLAG Go" is active, the message "Scan or overrule destination location" is now displayed. Users can overrule the suggested location by scanning another valid destination location.
Description
This option controls whether the suggested location for putaway and relocation processes using PROLAG Go can be overridden. During confirmation, the message "Scan or overrule destination location" is displayed. Instead of using the suggested location, users may choose another valid storage location for the load unit. The selected destination must not be blocked, must not belong to a system storage area (such as goods receipt, packing area, meeting point, etc.), and must belong to the picking areas permitted for the mobile device.
Example
The location suggestion for the list is displayed on the mobile device. Since the employee knows that the load unit will need to be retrieved again soon, they select a closer storage location to reduce walking distances.
New attribute "goods swapping allowed*
This function is included in the standard modules of PROLAG WMS.
Benefits
As a function of the load unit type, it is possible to specify whether goods can be swapped in shelves to which this type has been assigned.
Description
The new "goods swapping allowed" attribute in the load unit type controls whether goods swapping is permitted on shelves of this type. Goods swapping is never permitted on load units that are not shelves. For block, drive-in, flow and location shelf load unit types goods swapping is permitted as standard.
If goods swapping is not permitted based on the new attribute, this value overrides the settings for the goods swapping criteria (picking and multi-deep) in the storage area.
Site administration
Optimizations for cross-logistics-centre warehouse management
Freight list number for cross-LC replenishment
Benefits
For cross-LC replenishment, a freight list number is now included in the purchase order. This makes it easier to identify the purchase order at the destination logistics centre.
Description
When a cross-logistics-centre replenishment is loaded at the source logistics centre, a purchase order is created for the destination logistics centre. If the stock is retrieved at the source logistics centre using a haulier-based retrieval control, the freight list number is included in the purchase order. This makes it easier to identify the purchase order at goods receipt in the destination logistics centre.
Goods receipt
Upgrades to the goods receipt process.
Delivery note and DMS number*
This function is included in the standard modules of PROLAG WMS.
Benefits
Delivered goods can be (partially) reported to the host with minimal effort.
Description
Previously, partial deliveries could only be reported using the goods receipt transport vehicle, and manually creating these transport vehicles was time-consuming. This has now been changed to the simpler DMS number management system.
Automated entry of mixed SSCC in the browser *
This function is included in the standard modules of PROLAG WMS.
Benefits
All entry transactions can be made in the browser. There is no need to switch to a mobile device for mixed SSCC.
Desciption
Previously, a streamlined process already existed at the PROLAG Go I point that allowed users to process all purchase order items with the same SSCC on a mixed load unit in a single step simply by scanning the SSCC number.
Limit on printouts during early inbound goods inspection
Benefits
Incorrect entries regarding the number of document copies to be printed can be intercepted during the early inbound goods inspection.
Description
When generating documents using the "print" button in the "check quantity" view during the early inbound goods inspection, the number of printouts to be generated is compared with the safety limit for the maximum allowed number of printouts. If the entered value exceeds the safety limit, an error message is displayed on the mobile device and printing is prevented. The current view is not exited, and after closing the error message, a new value for the number of printouts to be generated can be entered.
Automatically apply serial numbers from purchase order item
Benefits
When processing a scheduled goods receipt (currently in the browser-based I-point), serial numbers for articles requiring serial numbers can now, in certain cases, be applied from the purchase order item to the stock without having to rescan the articles.
Description
If no purchase order type is specified in the purchase order for a scheduled goods receipt, or if the new flag "scan serial numbers when entering complete purchase order item" is not active for the purchase order type entered, then, under certain conditions, the serial numbers for articles requiring serial numbers can be applied from the purchase order item to the stock. The prerequisites are that the purchase order item contains a complete serial number pool and that the entire purchase order quantity is posted in the system as a single goods receipt at the I-point. If the putaway quantity differs from the purchase order quantity, or if it is to be split across multiple load units (for instance due to crossdocking), serial number entry must still be performed manually. If the serial number was applied without manual scanning, this is also displayed in the new field "serial numbers applied automatically" in the serial number history.
Goods issue and shipping
Updates to goods issue and shipping
Direct loading can be configured by retrieval control
Benefits
Direct loading can now be configured individually for each retrieval control. Previously, direct loading could only be configured globally using the configuration file.
Description
While previously the configuration file was used to make this setting, it is now possible to do so in the retrieval control.
Example
Normally, packing units should be loaded directly once a transport vehicle has been set down. However, with a retrieval control, packing units should always be collected at the staging zone.
Automated entry of mixed SSCC in the browser
Benefits
All entry transactions can be made in the browser. There is no need to switch to a mobile device for mixed SSCC.
Description
Previously, a streamlined process already existed at the PROLAG Go I point that allowed users to process all purchase order items with the same SSCC on a mixed load unit in a single step simply by scanning the SSCC number.
Now, users can also process multiple purchase order items with the same SSCC number on a mixed load unit in a single step using the purchase order item automated entry template in the
browser.
Improve goods picking logging
Benefits
Improved transparency of decisions during goods picking.
Description
The logging for determining goods for picking (evaluation of the picking strategy) has been revised. All related outputs are now written in JSON format to the file "reservation.log". This structured format simplifies automated analysis and also enables more efficient manual review when using a suitable editor.
